BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Buffalo’s historic St. Ann’s Church may be saved from the wrecking ball after all.

Mass won’t be held at the east side church any more, but the Buffalo Diocese has agreed to explore other options for the building, including possibly selling it. This move is a big change from two weeks ago, when Bishop Richard Malone announced plans to raze the church.

The 127-year-old building needs some costly repairs that are somewhere between $8- and $12-million.
